Abstract

Pulse oscillatory blood flows coupled with a single-segment elastic vessel (artery) are considered within the framework of a one-dimensional (1D) mathematical model. Particular attention is given to nonlinear and linear problems and also to natural wave modes of this coupled mechanical system.
